Born January 28, 1969 in Belvidere to Everett E. and Dianne L. (Scamp) Dorris, she married Bryan Allen Hall on September 2, 2006 in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are her father, Everett of Delavan; two daughters, Brittany (Joshua) Pogioli of Mountain Home, Idaho and Bethany Hall-Lingenfelter of Pekin; two grandchildren, Payton and Packston Pogioli. three bonus children, Brenna, Griffin and Jaden Hall all of Washington; twin granddaughters, Sabrina and Braylinn Lingenfelter, both of Pekin; one sister, Bridget (Othey) Henderson of Wapella and her niece and nephews, Marissa Nichols, Larry Ford III and Logan Ford.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dianne on June 1, 2014.
Melissa had worked a as a warranty administrator for 17 years at Scherer Buick/Pontiac in North Pekin and Uftring Auto Group before retiring in 2006.
She enjoyed going to car and motorcycle shows and tap dancing as an adult at Diane’s Dance World. She also enjoyed crocheting and making her daughters clothing when they were young. Her greatest enjoyment was spending quality time with her family.
Melissa formerly attended Riverside Community Church in Peoria.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 9, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor John Plunkett will officiate. Visitation will from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Burial will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
