

Born November 16, 1936 in Paducah, Kentucky to Roy and Edna (Mayfield) Leonard, she married John Francis “Jack” Albrecht on February 8, 1957. He died December 21, 2019. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Justin Morrissey; a son-in-law, Victor “Butch” Morrissey; a granddaughter-in-law, Lisa Morrissey and two sisters, Marjorie Schoedel and Delores “Dee” Tinney.
Surviving are one daughter, Carrie Morrissey of Peoria; one son, Steve Albrecht of Pekin; one grandson, Jon (Carrie) Morrissey of Springfield; three great-grandchildren, Alyson Morrissey, Olivia Morrissey and Connor Morrissey, all of Springfield and one sister, Bertha Murray of Northbrook.
Mary Lou had worked at the Tazewell County Recorder of Deeds Office for 20-plus years and was appointed in 1984.
A loving mother and grandmother, Mary Lou enjoyed spending time with her family and collecting clowns.
Mary Lou was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.
Her inurnment service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2024 at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
