Mary Sue "Susie" Dorsey

Born April 24, 1931 in Greenfield to W.L. “Si” and Martha (Barton) Greene, she married E. Dean “Irish” Dorsey on April 21, 1950 in Carrollton. He died December 12, 2006 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Lois McGinnis.

Surviving are one daughter, Vicki S. Walker of McLean; one son, Rick D. (Jeannie) Dorsey of Peoria; four grandchildren, Brooke (Andru) Lombardo of Elbert, Colorado, Ashleigh (Rob) McCann of Snoqualmie, Washington, Todd (Jaclyn) Walker of McLean and Laura Dorsey of Peoria; six great-grandchildren, Adia, Dean, Vera, Nathaniel, Wade and Matilda and one great-great-grandson, Elliot. Also surviving are one brother-in-law, Gary (Barbara) Dorsey of Winchester.

A homemaker most of her life, Susie had also worked at the Tazewell County Court House in the Circuit Clerks Office in the Probate Division for several years.

She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, her family was at the forefront of her life.

Her private funeral will be at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor John Vaughn will officiate. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Greenfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Peoria Rescue Mission, 601 SW Adams Street, Peoria, Illinois 61602.
