Born July 5, 1941 in Henderson County, Tennessee to Dewey M. and Ressie (Bowman) Coleman, she married Jerry Beasley on July 3, 1960 in Union Grove, Tennessee. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Richard E. (Cindy) Beasley of Bourbonnais; one daughter, Jeri Dawn (Peter) Martel of Lakewood; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
A homemaker, Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with her family.
She graduated from Beech Bluff High School in 1960 and was a member of the Beta Club Honor Society.
Mary was dedicated to the Christian faith and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pekin. She was also a member of the Pekin Lions Club, Toastmasters of Pekin and the Lupus Society. She enjoyed writing prose and poetry.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Zach Langloss will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
