Born October 10, 1931 in Spring Lake Township, Tazewell County, she married Leo Woodrow Wilson Marion on August 23, 1969 in Chicago. He died June 7, 2011 in Walnut. She also was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are one son, Donald Ray (Geri) Marion of Princeton; one daughter, Sarah Ann Marion of East Peoria and two grandchildren, Renee (Trevor) Rowley of Bourbonnais and Ryan (Audrey Thimm) Marion of Boise, Idaho. Mary Ann loved her grandchildren and family life was very important to her.
Mary Ann worked as a waitress in the Pekin area for over 20 years. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, playing cards and traveling.
She was a member of St. John’s (Sand Prairie) Lutheran Church in rural Green Valley.
Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017 at St. John’s (Sand Prairie) Lutheran Church in rural Green Valley. Pastor Kevin Bueltmann and William Krueger, DCE, will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
