Marshall S Lawson

He was born December 27, 1998 in Pekin to Christopher Shawn and Darcy Elizabeth (Luft) Lawson.

Surviving are his parents; his brother and best friend, Garrett (Kelsey Stoehr) Lawson of Pekin; his niece, Maci; his grandparents, Janice Luft, Richard & Jill Luft and Jim & Carol Evans, all of Pekin; aunts and uncles, Scott (Carmen) Luft, Mark (Lelonie) Luft, Julie (Derek) Guidotti and Jimi (Michele) Lawson, all of Pekin and numerous cousins. He also leaves his longtime special friend, Analisa Pallardy of Pekin.

Marshall was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jim Lawson, Sr.

He was a 2017 graduate of Pekin Community High School and had attended welding classes at Illinois Central College. Marshall had recently become a member of Millwright Local 1693 and was enjoying his work.

Marshall radiated love, knew no stranger and had a contagious laugh. He enjoyed fishing and listening to music, especially to AC/DC. Marshall also loved spending time with friends and family, working on his truck and putting things together.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.

His memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. The family will receive friends following the memorial Mass at Pekin Moose Family Center. Private inurnment will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is assisting the family with arrangements.
