He was born July 11, 1956 in Pekin to William and Patsy (Davin) Buhl. His mother has preceded him in death.
Surviving are his father Bill of Pekin; one brother, Mike of South Pekin; one nephew, Rob (Sarah) Buhl; two nieces, Hollie (Josie) Buhl Perz and Lorrie Buhl Cumspton and one aunt, Jerry Calvetti, both of Pekin.
Mark had been a member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin.
He worked in the copier business for 18 years. The last five years he had worked as an Imaging Specialist for Peoria Scanning Technologies, Inc.
Mark was a science fiction enthusiast that enjoyed comic books, movies reading and computers. He enjoyed being with his family and especially having breakfast and dinner with his dad and brother, Mike at Ernie’s Family Restaurant.
His memorial will be at 2 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2019 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. James C. McClarey will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Midwest Affiliate, 530 NE Glen Oak Avenue, Peoria, IL 61637.
