Marjorie E Slabaugh

Born November 12, 1932 in Peoria Heights to Rex and Marie (Michael) Hailey, she married Glenn Slabaugh on August 4, 1951 in Pekin. He survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Barry (Cathy) Slabaugh of Schaumburg, Garry (Linda) Slabaugh of Romeoville, Jarry Slabaugh of Pekin; three granddaughters, Christiana (James) Herbert of Chicago, Carrie (David) Calzada of Lake Zurich and Cherie Slabaugh ofSchaumburg. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Marjorie was a member of Pekin Bible Church, where she was a member of the Mary Martha Circle.

She had worked as a registered nurse at Pekin Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 2002. She was also with Lifeway for chemically dependent adolescents for 18 years.

Her funeral will be at noon Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Pekin Bible Church. The Rev. Richard W. Jones will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral at the church. Burial will be at Glendale Memory Gardens in Pekin. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
