Marilyn Ann Wilson

Born May 4, 1950 in Peoria to William and Loretta (Waldschmidt) McFarden, she married Ronald Franklin Wilson on January 10, 1970 at Sacre Coeur Catholic Church in Creve Coeur. He died February 21, 2023 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bernard McFarden and one sister, Susan Vespa.

Surviving are two daughters, Julia McKinley and Andrea (Dennis) Short, both of Pekin; five grandchildren, Jed McKinley, Logen Howell, Cade McKinley, Amara Howell and Garrett Short; four great-grandchildren, Declan McKinley, Ryder McKinley, Jedidiah McKinley and Gracelynn McKinley; three brothers, Gary McFarden of Peoria, Mike (Joy) McFarden of Springfield and Jim (Mary Beth) McFarden of Mason City and one sister, Diane Sweat of East Peoria.

A homemaker, Marilyn was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting, baking and tending to her flowers and her yard.

Marilyn loved to read the Bible and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.

Her memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. No services are planned. Cremation has been accorded.
