Lynda was born in Pekin, Illinois, the daughter of George &Flonnie Auterson Keyes. She married Gerald Counterman in Pekin on July 14, 1962.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years; two sons, Larrie (Theresa) of Pekin, andLonnie (Jane) of E. Peoria; two daughters, Lynnette Dorsett of New Port News, VA, and Michelle (Gilbert) Rogers of S. Pekin; fifteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Floyd (Verna) Keyes of Pekin; two sisters, Thelma Robertsand Patsy Buley both of Pekin; and last but not least her beloved pet Moxie.
Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and two brothers.
She was a past member of Pekin Moose Lodge. She was a member of Bethesda Pentecostal Church of God in Pekin.
Lynda was a past ChristmasAround the World Demonstrator and restaurant cook.
She enjoyed cooking, camping, quiltmaking, crosswords, word search,puzzles,History, and Yahtzee.
Lynda was lovedby all that knew her and will be truly missed.
Services will be at11:00 a.m.Friday, January 18, 2013 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin.Pastor David Wilder will officiate. Visitation will betwo hours prior to services.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to her church.
