HAVANA ~ It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Lola Eibeck Martin, 92, at 9:50 a.m. on August 2, 2023 at Havana Health Care in Havana, IL. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Born August 11, 1930 in Clinton to Rolla Mathew and Minnie (Armstrong) Malone, she married Frank Eibeck, Jr. in 1970, he died on May 28, 1974. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Rolla Malone and Minnie Slaughter and four children, Roger Armstrong, Dennis Armstrong, Theda Stevenson, and Douglas Armstrong.
Surviving are four children, James (Sandy) Armstrong, Thomas Armstrong, Kathryn Felmey, and Loria Brown. Lola was blessed by many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great- great grandchildren. She was adoringly known as Granny and Grandma by many due to her acceptance and love for all she met. She will be remembered for her feistiness, her love of life and generous heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Thank you to the staff at Havana Health Care for enhancing her quality of life in her final years, and a special thanks to Tessie and Zoey from Compassus Hospice for her exceptional care.
Lola will be buried next to the love of her life, Frank Eibeck, Jr., at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton, Illinois. Graveside services will be announced by the family at a later date for all to attend.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
