Born September 22, 1961 in Pekin to William Herman and Norma Joan (Williams) Lanhardt, she married Fred Barnes in June of 1983. They later divorced. She then married Craig Lee Wubben on October 7, 1991 in Pekin. He died December 6, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Orion Lippert-Barnes.
Surviving are four children, Amber Barnes of Peoria, Jacob Barnes and Jessica Barnes, both of Pekin and Jeremy Wubben of Groveland; five grandchildren, Curtis, Abigail, Jayden, Joseph and Eden; four siblings, Richard (Gloria) Lanhardt of Pekin, Vicky (Fred) Baker of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, William (Jennifer) Lanhardt of Peoria and Karen (Larry) Mielke of Arlington, Wisconsin and her significant other, Al Peters of Delavan.
Lisa worked for the Tazewell County Circuit Clerk’s Office for 33 years, as the Traffic Court Clerk, last working on December 9, 2019. She previously worked for Iowa National Mutual Insurance Company as an Insurance Claims Clerk.
She was a 1979 graduate of Pekin Community High School.
An avid bowler in her youth, Lisa loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles, journaling, writing poetry, crafting and camping. She had a love for Christmas and anything related to Santa. Her greatest love was her family, she was the foundation that the family relied on.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2019 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Mark Utech will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
In lieu of flowers the family request that a toy be donated to the Local Toy’s for Tot’s, in honor of Lisa’s love for Christmas.
