EAST PEORIA ~ Linda Kay Ward, 69, of East Peoria, passed away at 5:12 a.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was formerly of and Lewistown and Wyoming, Illinois.
Born July 18, 1951 in Three Rivers, Michigan to Lee and Katherine (King) Marshall, she married Sidney James Ward on November 1, 1997 in Wyoming, Illinois. He died February 2008. She also was preceded in death by her father.
Surviving are her mother of Sturgis, Michigan; four daughters, Angela (Frank) Mercer of Wyoming, Stephanie (Dale) Meischner of Pekin, Lorraina Southerd of North Carolina and Jocelyn (Gary) Fisher of Camden, South Carolina; nine grandchildren, Marces, Travis, Auston, Deanna, Cherokee, Dakota, Jesse, Felicity and Rylee; one great-grandson, Riley; several step grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ron (Marti) Marshall of Michigan and one sister, Sherry Glen of Michigan.
Linda worked as a cashier at County Market in Lewistown for more than 10 years, retiring in 2015.
Linda enjoyed collecting angels, crafts and cooking. She also collected M&Ms and was a huge Elvis fan. Spending time with her family was important to her.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Lewistown.
Private family services will be held. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
