Linda M French

Born March 9, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri to John and Alpha (Davis) Sweeney, she married Ron French January 5, 2012 in Havana. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Alpha (Frank McClary) Brown of Pekin; four sons, Philip Hensley of Beardstown, Earl (Amy) Hensley of Creve Coeur, Fred Frye and Toby (Candace) Frye, both of Pekin; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four sisters, Judy Coy of Edgar Springs, Missouri and Zoa (Kelly) List of Centerville, Missouri, Stacey (Christian) Reyes of Ft. Myers, Florida and Becky Sweeney of Beardstown and two brothers, Billy (Lee) Sweeney of Pekin and John Sweeney, Jr. of South Pekin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Beverly Donaho.

A homemaker, Linda enjoyed baking, cooking, reading her Bible and fishing when she was younger. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Linda attended Christian Life Church in Creve Coeur.

Her visitation will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services.
