Born on April 11, 1942 in Streator to Lester and Helen Louise (Baker) Falk of Minonk, he married Myrna Fitzanko on December 30,1965 in Pekin.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Myrna of Marquette Heights; his sons, Chad (Tara) Falk of Seattle, Washington and Eric (Amy)Falk of Cibolo, Texas; and his brothers, Loren Falk and Larry Falk, both of Minonk.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Lee’s life was marked by service, hard work, and deep devotion to family.
Lee served in the United States Navy from June 16, 1960 to 1964, stationed on the USS Berkeley in Philadelphia and later at Pearl Harbor aboard the USS Frontier. He continued his commitment to his country as a Naval Reservist until 1966.
After his military service, Lee built a successful career as an electrician at Caterpillar, where he worked for 33 years before retiring in 1997. A man of quiet strength, sharp wit, and steady hands, Lee found joy in simple pleasures and in the company of his loved ones.
Lee enjoyed reading everything, working on all kinds of puzzles, playing board games and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball. He loved being in nature, going camping and having campfires.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Lee’s graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Pastor Steve Webber will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
