Laverda "Lori" Buckman

Laverda “Lori” Buckman, 80, of Pekin, Illinois, passed away Monday July 20, 2105 at Apostolic Christian Restmor of Morton. Lori was born on December 9, 1934 in Watseka, Illinois to August and Etta (Seggerman) Remmert.

On March 18, 1962, she married the love of her life, Raymond E. Buckman. For 46 years they were nearly inseparable. They enjoyed traveling the country together and loved to dance. They were members of the Mr. and Mrs. Dance club at the Pekin Country Club.

Lori is survived by her son Rob (Bonnie) Buckman of Morton; her granddaughter, Jaimie Buckman of Morton; her 3 brothers, Gerald (Patsy) Remmert of Eddyville, KY, Wesley (Nancy) Remmert of Peoria, IL, and Leland (Ann) Remmert of Tremont, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, her granddaughter Jennifer Buckman, and her sister Edith Roach.

Services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin on Thursday July 23, 2015 at 10:30 am. Pastor Daniel Bishop will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
