Laurie M Yaeger

She was born September 5, 1954 in Peoria to John Edward and LaDonna Rachael (Arnold) Yaeger. She preceded in death by her parents, John Yaeger and LaDonna Hollingsworth and one brother, Lonnie Yaeger.

Surviving are two sisters, Chris (Andy) Jones of Jacksonville, North Carolina and Tonie Jones of Phillipsburg, Missouri; one brother, Kenny Yaeger of Houston, Missouri; several aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and friends.

Laurie had no children of her own, however had taken Crystal Nelson and Danica Thomas into her home and helped raise them and their kids as if they were her own. She was mom and nanna, auntie and friend to so many. She had a heart of gold and never knew a stranger.

She loved to go fishing and taking kids to the park. She also always sent birthday and Christmas cards to everyone she knew.

Her graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2018 at Fon du Lac Cemetery in East Peoria. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
