Kenneth "Kenny" Edward Vogel

Born January 11, 1944 to Lester and Marie (Parkin) Vogel, he married Vicki Lynn Sadler on December 3, 1966. She died on March 24, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one son, James Scott Vogel; one grandson, Brayden Scott Vogel; two brothers, Lester (LeeAnn) and John Vogel and one sister, Annette (Kurt) Rankin.

Surviving are one daughter, Lisa (Kent Berg) Vogel of Morton; five grandchildren, Lauren Doerr, Carl Logan McCann, Lelaina Vogel, Alexandra Vogel and Kenneth Holden Vogel; one brother, David Vogel of Pekin; two sisters, Patricia (Bob Ort) Grady, Mary (Terry Holcomb) Vogel and one sister-in-law, Diane (Crum) Vogel of Pekin.

Kenny owned and operated Vogel’s Metric Garage and Import Auto Parts with his brother, John for many years. He then worked for Pekin Community High School District 303 for over 20 years as the Assistant Director of Buildings and Grounds.

His graveside service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin at a later date.

A gathering celebrating Kenny’s life will be held at a later date.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory Pekin.
