Kayla was born December 16, 1988 in Peoria to Thomas Fannon and Kristian Michelle Rora-Howe. Her mother preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, James T. Rora and her paternal grandfather, Bascum Fannon.
Surviving are her father, Thomas (Janneke) Fannon of San Manuel, Arizona; her four children, Jordan, Kayloni, Jaydyn and Aly’ana; maternal grandmother, Jackie Rora of Creve Coeur; paternal grandmother, Patricia (Robert "Ronnie") Wynn of Arizona; three sisters, Mercedes Fannon and Paige (Travis) Anderson, both of Peoria and Taylor Stasz of Creve Coeur; one step-brother, Chad (Ashley) Tucker of East Peoria; her aunt, Marni Rora of Creve Coeur; three uncles, Todd (Melissa) Fannon of East Peoria, Tim (Barbie) Fannon of Peoria and Troy (Jill) Fannon of Pekin; and her nephew, Saint. She also leaves several cousins.
Kayla was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, listening to music and dancing and family vacations.
Kayla loved life and lived her life to the fullest. She loved her family and friends with all her heart. Her children were her world. Like her mother, she will be remembered as a free spirit, who was loved by all and never knew a stranger. She was a friend to all and had a heart of gold. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Her memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2019 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Pastor Robert Finley will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 6:45 p.m. Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
