Julie "Jules" Ann Kozlowski

Born July 9, 1965 in Urbana, she was the daughter of James “Jim” Deman and Narda (Elam) Mays, she married Patrick “Pat” Kozlowski in 1993. They later divorced.

Surviving are her five children, Heather McPhail of Hamilton, Ohio, Zach (Delaney) Kozlowski of Des Moines, Iowa, Nathaniel Kozlowski of Wisconsin, Megan Kozlowski of Kentucky and McKenna Kozlowski of Tennessee; six grandchildren, Nic, Jaxon, Austin, Bryson, Madden and Rylan; her mother, Narda Mays of Champaign; one sister, Alicia (Jacob) Meseke of Ottawa; and two nieces, Kailey and Emma of Ottawa.

She was preceded in death by her father, one brother, Kenny Mays and her best friend and dog Lucy.

Julie had worked as an LPN at Bickford Senior Living of Peoria for ten years. She cherished the residents and families she worked with and considered them family.

She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who brought her joy. She loved dancing and listening to music, planting flowers in her garden, watching Chicago Cubs baseball games, and taking mini-vacations.

She was of the Catholic faith.

Her memorial visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
