Joe Leroy Beach

Born on March 12, 1945, in Peoria to James Isaac and Stella Bell (Cole) Beach, he married Helen Louise Heim on June 15, 1968 in East Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Barbara Waters of Pekin; two sons, Joe LeRoy Beach, Jr of Pekin, Walter (Gabby) Beach of Pekin; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild coming in September of 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold Beach and Charles Beach.

Joe worked as a Shipper / Packer for Caterpillar, Inc. in Morton for 37 years before retiring in 2010. He was also the owner operator of J&J Towing.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and had a special love for cars. Joe loved spending time with his family and friends. He always had a story and a little life advice to share with anyone who would listen.

His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday April 11, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
