Joanne Parsons

Born November 7, 1943 in Pekin to Charles and Jennie (Fardel) Meeks, she married Kenny Parsons on March 19, 1961 in Pekin. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Ronda (Mark) Bensel and Londa “Lonnie” Donahue, both of Morton; two grandchildren, Timothy (Adrienne) Robinson of North Pekin and Sean (Crystal) Somers of Nixa, Missouri and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Phyllis Lindsey and one son-in-law, Brian Donahue.

A homemaker, Joanne enjoyed sewing, crocheting, camping and fishing.

Joanne was a member of the Pekin First Church of God.

Her funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Glendale Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel in Pekin. Pastor Steve Greer will officiate.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
