She was born August 28, 1963 in Anchorage, Alaska to Robert “Bob” and Sandra (Leroy) Brush. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert "Bob" Brush and her mother, Sandra Fraley; and one step-daughter, Shayla Olsen.
Surviving are one daughter, Heather (Gene) Pennington of Pekin; one son, Josh Petitt of Pekin; one step-son, Chase Olsen of Manito; her step-mother, Sharon Brush of Pekin; two granddaughters, Rylee Petitt and Addyson Pennington, both of Pekin; one grandson, Ayden Pennington of Pekin; three step-sisters, Debbie (Joe) MacFarlane, Delene (Larry) Vaughn and Diane (Scott) Zarley all of Pekin; two step-brothers, Scott (Shari) Carroll of Pekin and Dean (Brenda) Fraley of Wisconsin; her bestie of 40 years, Vicki Gard-Hammerich of Glasford and many nieces and nephews.
Julie had worked at Gallatin River in Pekin for many years.
She enjoyed hiking, attending craft shows, antiquing and traveling to Gulf Shores. Her greatest enjoyment was spending quality time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Her memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help offset cost of the services.
