

Born January 11, 1927 in Anna Illinois to Martin V. and Mellie “Sitter” Watkins, she married Floyd Hale Jr. on December 19, 1942 in Jackson Missouri. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Judy Pierce; one son, Kenneth D. Hale; one granddaughter, Kimberly Thomas and several siblings.
Surviving are one granddaughter, Lynn (Tim) Saettler of East Peoria; one grandson, Kevin (Leslie) Hale of Metamora and five grandchildren, Nickolas, Lillyann, Sophie, Karson and Bradyn; one grandson-in-law Aaron Thomas.
She last worked for American Distilling Company in Pekin in the bottling department for 18 years. She formerly worked at Altorfer in East Peoria and then on to ABC Washing Machine Company for many years and also made shells for the United States Army at the munitions plant.
Jewell was an avid gardener, crocheted, and quilted many things for her family and friends. She used to enjoy bowling in her younger years.
Her graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m Friday July 17, 2020. at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
