Iva E. Kerney Aeschlimann

She was born April 19, 1917 in Boston, MO to John and Mary (Moore) Cones. She married Charles Kerney on March 28, 1936. She later married Ed Aeschlimann on December 26, 1981. He preceded her in death on August 27, 1985. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother; 2 sisters; 1 step-son; and an infant brother and sister.

Surviving are 5 children, David Kerney of Pekin, Betty Etcheson of Havana, Loretta Kerney of Pekin, Marjorie (Bill) Clinch of Pekin, Kathy Overton of TN; 3 step-children, David (Judy) Aeschlimann of Delavan, Ginger (Jim) Riviere of Pekin, Michael Aeschlimann of Cincinnati, OH; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Nellie Higgins of MO; 1 brother, Lee Cones of FL, and several nieces and nephews.

Iva worked as a Nurses Aid at Pekin Hospital, last working in the mail room at the Pekin Times Newspaper before retiring. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Pekin and the Jolly Ladies Club in Pekin. She enjoyed cooking and sewing, making clothing for her kids. Iva will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home, with Rev. Steven M. Rowell Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
