Helen J Mickle

Born October 12, 1910 in Gorin, Missouri to Edwin W. and Lydia L. (Bertram) Kraus, she married Audrey E. Mickle on June 7, 1931 in Gorin. He died August 16, 1995 in Pekin.

She also was preceded in death by three brothers.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Helen retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company in East Peoria in 1971 after 28 years of service. She worked out of buildings P and KK, spending 16 years in the factory and the last 12 years as an office clerk.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pekin, where she also was a member of the Deborah Circle.

She was a former member of the YWCA of Pekin, the King's Daughters, the Pekin Women's Club, and Home Extensions Unit #1.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2009at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Terry C. Edele will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
