Born August 21, 1926 in Brilliant, Alabama to Grady and Ethel (Conway) Cochran, she married W.T. "Troy" McDuff on March 9, 1946 in Hamilton, Alabama. He passed away October 9, 2002 in Prescott, Arizona. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Stephen Troy McDuff; two brothers; and one sister.
Surviving are one daughter, Donna McDuff of Mesa, Arizona; two sons, Randy (Shelly) McDuff of North Pekin and Dave (Christie) McDuff of Pekin; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Bob (Barbara) Cochran of Childress, Texas and Grady (Jan) Cochran of Wellington, Texas.
Helen had worked for Pekin Community High School's West Campus cafeteria.
She loved keeping up with current events and studying and discussing the Bible. She was a mother and caregiver by nature, and will be remembered for putting the needs of those she loved first. Her life centered around her children. She especially loved having morning coffee with her daughter in front of the fountain and searching for treasures at garage sales with her.
Her visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Pastor John Vaughn will officiate.
