He was born October 4, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan to Ivan and Carmen (Leonard) Stephens. His parents preceded him in death.
Surviving are three daughters, Sherry Holbrook, Troas (Chuck) Staugler, Teri Coy all of Ohio; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one sister, Anita Appleyard of North Pekin; one brother Kenneth Havron of Morton; six nieces and one nephew. His niece Angie Callaway was his caregiver.
Harold served in the United States Navy from 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1959.
Harold worked as a bartender at the Monroe Club in Peoria.
He enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved fishing and playing pool and was a master of solitaire and crossword puzzles.
His graveside service will be held at a later date at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.
