She was born May 17, 1943 in Heber Springs, Arkansas to Glen Roy and Lois Audrey (Reeves) Martin. She married Robert Keckler on October 9, 1993 in Chillicothe. He died December of 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are four children, Scott (Tonya) Watson of Pekin, Marty (Kim) Watson of South Pekin, Lori (Victor) Temple of Douglas, Wyoming and Kevin Watson of Torrington, Wyoming; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Steve Thurman of Peoria.
Glennis was a member of the Ladies of Columbus through Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pekin.
She had worked for Guard Mark, retiring in 2005.
Glennis loved to read, especially science fiction and romance novels. She was known to read many books in a day. She also enjoyed crocheting, painting and gardening.
Her visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Cremation will follow.
