He was born June 18, 1952 in Peoria to Gilbert Meyer and Elizabeth (Imhoff) Bradle. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are one son, Drew (Fallon) Bradle of Chicago; one daughter, Shelley (Jerry) Burgess of Mesa, Arizona; three grandchildren, Blake Burgess of Mesa, Arizona, Anna Bradle and Jack Bradle, both of Chicago and two sisters, Carol (Jack) Pudik of Washington and Nancy (Jerry) Johnson of Clinton.
Stan was a member of the Peoria Steamfitters Local 353, where he had worked as a Pipefitter from 1982 to 2005. He then served as an officer, past President and Business Agent at the local Union Hall in Bartonville until his retirement in 2013.
He was also a member of Pheasants Forever, Hiram Walker Rod and Gun Club in Farmington since 1976 and the Steamfitters Local Softball Team from 1986 to 2003.
An avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan, Stan loved to play chess. He had coached his daughter’s undefeated softball team in her last season and still covets the game ball which was autographed by all the players.
Stan and his son, Drew had a backyard wiffle ball competition from 1985 to 1993 which was dominated by Stan. His record was an astounding 43-1, with 19 strikeouts per 9 innings, a 0.92 lifetime ERA and a .356 lifetime average.
He attended St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Washington where he served as an usher for several years.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
