Born January 1, 1929 in Pekin to Carl, Sr. and Minerva (Lambertson) Look, she married Bobby Gene “Bob” Farnam on November 23, 1947 in Manito. He died on June 6, 1990 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Leroy Look, Carl Look, Jr and Kenneth Look and one sister, Shirley Simpkins.
Surviving are three children, Randy G. Farnam, Rodney L. (Linda) Farnam and Rhonda (Rick) Telander, all of Pekin; five grandchildren, Jeff Graham, Dawn Mortensen, Zack Farnam, Rod (Hannah) Farnam, Jr. and Douglas (Amanda) Farnam; nine great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves a companion and friend of 32 years, Robert “Bob” Davis.
Geri and her husband, Bob, moved to Pekin in 1973, where she worked as a cashier at Vogels and then Wal-Mart, where she retired from in 1992.
She was a member of Community United Methodist Church in Manito, where she served as a Sunday school and as a Vacation Bible School teacher.
Geri loved to spend time with family, her dog, Kota, listen to music, dance, play cards, bingo, make pies, bake lots of Christmas cookies and embroider.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Dwight Winnett will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
