Gary D Fox

Born June 30, 1945 in Pekin to Ancil Evert and Rosalie Honor (Kirgan) Fox, he married Brenda Jean Bushart on June 16, 1967 in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Bret (Sheila) Fox of Washington; one daughter, Paige (Kirt) Gibbs of Pekin; four grandchildren, Hannah Fox and Brock Fox, both of Washington, and Ian Gibbs and Natalie Gibbs, both of Pekin; one brother, Dean (Sandra) Fox of East Peoria; and one sister, Peggy (Dennis) Wood of Pekin.

His parents preceded him in death.

He was a 1964 graduate of Pekin Community High School.

Gary worked for Witco and later for Goldschmidt in Mapleton for a total of 41 years, retiring in 2006.

He was a member of Ducks Unlimited in Pekin and a former member of several Duck Clubs in past years.

Gary was an avid hunter, especially of duck and geese. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.

His memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Marv Claassen will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
