Born June 17, 1934 in Peoria to Harry and Maureen (Hartman) Glasford, she married Robert Maurice “Bob” Funk. She later married Alfred E. Graham on November 26, 1980 in Manito. He died April 5, 2008 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one infant son and two sisters, Jane Madsen and Mildred Pitchford.
Surviving are three sons, Bob (Amy) Funk of West Newbury, Massachusetts, Steve (Terry) Funk and Greg (Terri) Funk, both of Pekin; her bonus daughters, Debbie (Shawn) Biery of Hoffman Estates and Connie (Edward) Sondag of Manito; eight grandchildren, Katie (Shae) Birkey, Tyler (Dara) Funk, Bradley (April Haynes) Funk, Jennifer (Chad Young) Funk, Emily (AJ Snovel) Funk, Tom (Jenn) Funk, Jeff (Stacey) Funk and Seth (Jessica) Kenny; five bonus grandchildren, Danielle, Victoria, Graham, John Paul and Alaina; eight great-grandchildren, Brooks, Jens, Anders, Quinn, Marley, Ryder, Michael and Jack and six bonus great-grandchildren, Sammy, Lena, Josephine, Michelle, Jude and Luke. She also leaves a special friend, Bill Potter.
Frances worked as a pharmacy technician, last working 26 years for Tingleff Pharmacy in Bartonville. She also had worked at the Medicine Shoppe and for the former Christy Apothecary Shop in Pekin.
She enjoyed dancing to country music at the American Legion in East Peoria. She also enjoyed golf, bowling, and horseback riding in earlier years. She was the City of Pekin Women’s Golf Champion in 1962 and bowled in leagues with the Pekin Women of the Moose. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling and wintering in Florida and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pekin.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Preston Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Visitation will be held for one hour before the funeral. Burial will follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
