Elizabeth "Betty" Feuchter

Born July 5, 1921 in Peoria to George and Clara (Schaefer) Huxtable, she married William H. Feuchter on June 5, 1943 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He died December 6, 1997 in Naples, Florida. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Francis Gebhardt.

Surviving are three sons, William H. (Eloise) Feuchter, II of Pekin, Frederick (Lyndall) Feuchter of Montara, California and James (Diane) Feuchter of Hanna City; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildrenand one great-great-grandchild.

A homemaker, Betty was a devoted wife and mother. She volunteered at Proctor Hospital and Naples Community Hospital for many years. She was an accomplished knitter and enjoyed reading. She will be dearly missed.

Her graveside funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2009at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria. The Rev. Gary L. Ford of Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
