Diane Sloan

She was born December 12, 1937 in Saint Paul, Minnesota to Carl and LaViolet (Ledegar) Boughton.

Surviving are three children, Barry (Julie) Holmes of Oregon, Wisconsin, Garry (Dede) Holmes of Pekin and Holly Lhamon of Pekin; 11 grandchildren, Jared Holmes, Adam Holmes, Danny (Michelle) Holmes, Dillon Holmes, Dustin Holmes, Stephanie (Sean) Ray, Matt (Amanda) Holmes, Chase (Katie) Lhamon, Chad (Corrina) Lhamon, Leslie (Daron) Hoerr and Jake (Erica) Webber; and 14 great-grandchildren, Anna, Weston, Dani, Aleese, Lander, Ben, Grant, Cade, Drew, Carter, Gracie, Ryan, Sloane and Hollis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Bryan Holmes; her daughter-in-law, Melinda Holmes; one brother, Jack LaFore and one sister, Carlene Hagan.

Dee Dee worked for the United States Postal Service for many years as a rural mail carrier. After retiring, she worked part time at Pekin Community High School as a hall monitor.

She enjoyed knitting and reading in her free time and loved spending time with her family. She also loved her toy poodle, Molly.

Dee Dee was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Pekin. She loved her church and was very involved with various activities.

A private graveside service will be held at a Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
