Born August 8, 1955 in Pekin, she was the daughter of Donald Frank and Rose Marie (Schleich) Gianessi. Her parents preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Freda Janell Doman and one great-grandson, Charles Joseph Krontz, and one great-granddaughter Onyx Doman.
Surviving are two daughters, Tonia Lynn Gianessi and Stephanie Ann (Brian) Mastronardi, both of Pekin; seven grandchildren, Jacob Hill, Chelsea Hill, Brandon (Khushii) Lee, Patricia (Riley) Doman, Austin (Ashley Wabel) Doman, Jaden Doman and Gage Begeman, all of Pekin; eight great-grandchildren, Gavin Huddleston, Michael Krontz, Layla Riley, River Riley, Avynn Moon, Ellie Moon, Xion Doman and Kai Doman; five brothers and three sisters.
Diane had worked as a licensed beautician for many years and pursued several other job titles throughout her life.
She will be remembered as a loving, giving mother and grandmother. Diane had a green thumb like nobody's business, enjoyed gardening and truly loved preparing homemade meals for family and friends.
She lived a full free spirited life and lived as she wanted to. Diane was kind, generous and loved everyone. Diane took great care of both her parents in their last years.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.
Her memorial visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, where a sharing of eulogies will be held at 5:30 p.m. A celebration of life gathering will be held starting at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Hole in the Wall Saloon in Pekin.
