Born February 8, 1938 in Pekin to Cecil and Ethel (Boyer) McCue, he married Brenda Current on July 1, 1969. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Gerrilynne (Virgil) Hester of Edelstein and Janet Vandyke of Pekin; one son, Terry McCue of Pekin; two granddaughters, Bobbie (Andrew) Bell of Manito and Katrina (Ryan) Fornoff of Manito; four great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Richard Weddle of Indiana; one close family friend, Cathy Blake of Pekin and one beloved cat, Leo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He worked as a semi-truck driver for various local companies for many years, retiring in 2000.
Delbert enjoyed yardwork, gardening, planting flowers, jigsaw puzzles, watching NASCAR, especially Bill Elliott, and Peoria Riverman Hockey. He also loved camping and spending time with his wife Brenda.
A gathering celebrating Delbert’s life will be held at a later date.
