He was born March 22, 1963 in Peoria to Daniel and Mary (McKinney) Hamilton.
Surviving are his mother, Mary Hamilton of Pekin; 11 children, Kenneth (Susan) Paris of Colorado, Adam (Davina) Hamilton of New Mexico, Amber Boyer, Cathey Boyer of Peoria, Michael Elam of Missouri, Jason (Ragan) Elam, Sr. of East Peoria, Josh (Brandy) Elam of Pekin, Danielle Elam of East Peoria, Alex Hamilton, Abby Hamilton and Anthony Hamilton, all of Peoria; 34 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Velma (Bobby) Hamilton-Taylor of Alabama, Angie (Kenny) Stofleth, Marie (Larry) Bicknell of Roanoke and Cindy (Jay) Daughtery of Peoria and one brother, Billy Hamilton of Peoria.
He was preceded in death by his father and one son, Justin Elam.
Danny worked as a junker for many years.
