He was born April 12, 2018 in Quincy to Michael F. and Jessie Mae (Deiman) LeGassick.
Surviving are his parents of Pekin; his little brother, Alexander LeGassick; maternal grandmother, Marsha Buss of East Peoria; paternal grandmother, Raquel Petrochilos of California; paternal grandfather, Charles (Vicky Ann Montes) LeGassick of Texas and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Deiman.
Damien loved pretending he was cooking and loved acting like a cat. Like any other toddler, Damien also loved playing with trucks, dinosaur’s and his puppies.
He will be mostly be remembered for his compassionate heart and always worrying about others. Damien’s greatest compassion was being a big brother to Alex.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
