

He was born September 2, 1997 in Peoria to Dana Jay and Laurie Renee (Allen) Deal.
Dahlton is survived by his mother, Laurie Deal of Peoria; father, Dana Deal of Pekin; one brother, Caydn Laine Deal of Peoria; grandparents, Sheila and Merle Allen of Glasford; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, and his forever connection, Anastasia Lazarenko of Ukraine.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Betty Coats, of whom he was very fond.
Dahlton graduated from Illini Bluffs High School in 2016. He attended courses at Illinois Central College in East Peoria, where he formed a bond with his music professor, Larry Harms, leading them to perform together.
From an early age, Dahlton showed signs of great intelligence and talent. He had his own unique sense of style and a hilarious sense of humor. Dahlton loved nature, sunsets, and skateboarding. He was an old soul who battled severe mental illness but used his experiences and his whole heart to help others in any way he could.
Music held such importance in his life, as he played 19 instruments and wrote and recorded several songs. Through music, Dahlton found meaningful, lasting relationships. He orchestrated several bands and had an opportunity to play with a jazz band in Chicago. His spirit resonated with people who called him “friend” all over and even outside of the country.
His memorial visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. A memorial service celebrating Dahlton’s life will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Raymond L. Moushon officiating. Inurnment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Lancaster Cemetery in Glasford.
