Constance "Connie" M Eldert

Born November 28, 1942 in Pekin to Andrew and Helen (Brown) Carter, she married Clifford “Cliff” D. Eldert on March 25, 1961 in Pekin. He died April 1, 2020 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brother-in-laws and one sister-in-law.

Surviving are two sisters, Beverly Rush of Daytona Beach, Florida and Nonie (Doug) Sindle of Manito; one brother, Tom Carter of Corpus Christi, Texas; several nieces and nephews, including Sean and Jason Sindle and Sonja (Kevin Wolfer and her sister-in-law, Claudette Eldert of Pekin.

A loving and dedicated caregiver to her husband, Connie enjoyed cooking and tending to her dogs, AJ and Brandy.

Her graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2023 at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Anthony Wilson will officiate. Private visitation will be at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Tahir Ilahi, Dr. Robert Meister and Dr. Patrick Gomez. They would also like to thank the Illinois Cancer Center and her special caregivers, Sean and Tammy.
