Born November 2, 1947 in Hannibal, Missouri to Claude Hamlin and Louise (Genevieve) Wilcox, he married MaryAnn Bruce on October 5, 1968 in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Alvin Wilcox of Chicago and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents, Alvin M. and Maggie A. Wilcox; maternal grandparents, Ponto and Rose (Raimondi) Genevieve and many aunts and uncles.
Willie was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He worked for Keystone Wire & Steel Co. in Bartonville as a machinist for 36 years, retiring in 2001.
A conversationalist, Willie talked to and knew everyone. He would go for two hour walks every day and chat with anyone he would meet on the way. He loved motorcycles and was riding since he was 12. He, along with his family, spent many vacations attending motorcycle races. He also enjoyed tinkering in his garage and took pride in his job.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There are no services.
