He was born January 25, 1987 in Pekin to Scott David and Mellissa Lynnette (Jobe) Rice.
Surviving are his father, Scott Rice of South Pekin; his mother, Mellissa Rice of Morton; one son, Bowie Parker Rice of Springfield; one bonus son, Owen Frese of Springfield; the mother of his children, Candice Frese of Springfield; one sister, Tabitha (Amanda Young) Gage of Morton; one brother-in-law, Heath Gage of Morton and one nephew, Floyd Gage of Morton.
Casey was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Grethal Jobe; paternal grandparents, Robert and Celia Rice and four uncles, Mark and Eric Rice and Mike and Mitch Jobe.
He worked as a carpenter and landscaper.
Casey was an adoring father to his sons and a gifted artist. He deeply enjoyed fishing and camping.
His memorial service will be at noon, Friday, October 4, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Chuck Grogan will officiate. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will directly follow the service at Woodrow Cemetery in rural Pekin. A gathering celebrating Casey’s life will begin at 4 p.m. Friday at the Eagle’s Lodge Arie #1869, 274 Derby Street, Pekin, Illinois.
