Born September 9, 1947 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Hugh Kenneth and Ruth (Wilson) Moseley, she married Gilman Burton “Gil” Peak on September 23, 1972 at Tremont Baptist Church. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Brent (Tabitha) Peak of Pekin; four grandchildren, Samantha Peak, Hannah Peak, Isaac Peak and Kaitlyn Peak and her daughter-in-law, Gina Peak of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Brian Peak and her grandmother, Elsie Moseley, who helped raise her.
Carol was a homemaker. She worked for the Pekin Public Library for three years, last working in 2003. She also had worked prior to that at Thrifty Drugs and for Arlans.
Carol was a person of faith and a member of First Baptist Church in Pekin.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Vernon Risner will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
