Hello Mr. Merrill, Rick and Susan, Dave and Doug: 
I hope I didn't miss out anyone!   I met your family at a time when there were no other additions! I was honored to meet this beautiful godly Christian family who came to visit Moody Bible Inst in Chicago Il in Dec. 1990 .
Thanks is not an enough word to say 'Thank You'  for seeing me through my studies at the Bible College as a foreign student from India. 
I remember you all taking me out to eat and then went step by step to pay my bill so I could graduate without a debt! 
You both told me that when you were praying in your home in Pekin that God put someone on your heart that you need to help! When you came to the school and saw a list of all the Intl students, you picked me 'Sharon' small built Indian girl and knew it was God  leading you to help me! It is a beautiful memory! Carol will NEVER be forgotten or any of your family!

On behalf of the Kula family we offer our deepest condolences to the Parsons family on the passing of Carol.  We met Carol and Merrill at their Pekin home on Lake Whitehurst in 2008.  We had three young children and were expecting our fourth.  Carol was gracious and so excited to see a young family coming into her beautiful house.  She kept us entertained with many stories about her sons and Merrill's adventures on the lake.  Her love of family was palpable.  We wish your family peace of heart in this most difficult of days.  She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend to many.  She now rests in the loving arms of her Creator.  God Bless.

    So sorry for your loss of a wonderful woman who was a godly example to me.  I am thankful for the time I got to spend with your family many years ago.  So many precious memories.  There is a chorus of a  song  I think of when I remember Carol. "I saw Jesus in you. I could hear His voice in the words you said. In your eyes I saw His care. I could see His love was there. You were faithful and I saw Jesus in you." I look forward to seeing her in heaven.

Carol was a wonderful lady to know her was to love her. Hugs to all her family!

So sorry for your loss. I grew up on Valle Vista and was their paperboy for years. She and her husband were some of the finest people I ever had the pleasure to know. She was such a caring Christian. She will be missed. My prayers are with you.

Merrill and family,

Carol was a wonderful friend and person.  Our family has many memories of time spent with her and her family.  She impacted this world for Jesus.  Our deepest condolences to Merrill and family.  

As we grieve the loss of dear Carol, we celebrate that she is in heaven with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!  

We knew Carol as a sweet and gentle woman, strong in the Lord, knowledgeable in the Word of God, and faithful in prayer.  

We will always be grateful for her wise counsel and strong support during a trial we were going through.  She shared how she  never stopped trusting the Lord through trials she and Merrill had gone through, and encouraged us to persevere.  She was a great inspiration to us. We’ve only had the privilege of knowing Carol for a short time. But during that time, her love of the Lord and her family, was so evident. She and Merrill were in our ALG class at Calvary Church and they were so faithful to come even when it must have been difficult for her. We will miss her sweet smile and her loving spirit.

I received this information today about Carol.  I am sorry for your loss Merril, and for your family.  I will always remember you both as very benevolent, servant leaders in our church, and in your lives as a witness of Christ to those you touched.  Carol touched many.  She was always gracious, had a smile on, and cared about others.  What a good and faithful testimony.  

While I know you will miss her, I will be praying that your memories will be sweet and keep you through the hard times of loss until we get to make it Home as well.  I pray her memory will always bring a smile to your heat,

Carol was such a wonderful woman.  We spent many happy times with her and Merrill having dinner and playing cards.  She was a great
cook and I'll never forget her super deserts.  She was a woman of God, and set a great example for all of us to follow.  She made a
significant  difference in her life.  We will all miss her, but we know 
she's happy now to at last be with God.

To Merrill and all of the Parsons family,
Carol was an inspiration to all. Her faith was so freely expressed, always. During many conversations, Carol would remind us to trust in the Lord.
She had the ability to express her faith in a way to inspire others, not creating any feelings that she was trying to force her views upon you. When we first met, probably in 1966, it was clear that she was a sincere, committed Christian.
I will always remember her words when we saw her at the visitation for Danny and Dale:  “The Lord needed them”.  Now she is reunited with them.
Carole & I enjoyed our studies together with the group of 10 to 12 friends in the years before your move to North Carolina. Our prayers are with you, Merrill, and all of your family.        Owen
