Carol Jane Lister

Born December 27, 1947 in Pekin to Robert and Violet (Hymbaugh) Miller, she married Alan Lister. He died in 1994. She was also preceded in death her parents; one grandson, Joshua Lee Thompson and two brothers, Steve Miller and Stan Miller.

Surviving are one son, William “Bill” Thompson of Marquette Heights; one grandson, Remington Lee Thompson; her long-time friends, Luann Johnson and Joe and Christie Huffman and the entire Schultz family of Marquette Heights.

Carol worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for many years. She previously had worked as a barber and a ceramist.

She enjoyed crafting, gardening and had many other hobbies and talents. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

A gathering celebrating Carol’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
