Carol was born on January 5, 1948 in Hannibal, MO., the daughter of Cecil R. and Eva E (Hoskins) Edmiston. They preceded her in death.
She married Joe W. Denney on December 11, 1976 in East Peoria. She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Randi Jo Denney of East Peoria; two step-daughters, Lisa Jo (Steve) Wagstaff of East Peoria and Frannie Jo Lane of Peoria; six step-grandchildren; six sisters, Beverly Biggerstaff and Mary Edmiston, both of East Peoria, Peggy (Tim) Foster and Donna Arbogast, both of Bartonville, Pamela (Steve) Davis of Lovington, and Joyce (Rick) Deemie of Peoria; three brothers, William Edmiston and Charles Edmiston, both of Decatur, and Larry Edmiston of Norfolk, VA. She is also survived by one brother-in-law and sister-in-law Trennace and Wilma Denney of East Peoria, and numerous nieces and nephews that she dearly loved and who dearly loved her.
Carol was the banquet captain/hostess at Country Club of Peoria for 26 ½. She also was the supervisor of Sullivan Civic Center in Sullivan for six years before retiring.
She enjoyed reading, gardening and crocheting which provided many prized gifts for her family. She was a talented cook and baker. She was the Jelly Roll Queen of our family and no one could ever replicate her jelly rolls. Many have tried.
Per Carol’s request there will be no visitation or services and cremation will be accorded. Burial of her cremated remains will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria at a later date.
