Carlton Leroy Taylor

Born January 31, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri to Carl and Dorothy (Fisher) Taylor, he married Judy (Wood) December 5, 1970. She survives.

Also surviving are his two sons, John and Randy Taylor both of Pekin; one daughter; Bonnie Kina of Pekin; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five sisters; Angie (John) Dugan of Charleston, Missouri, Kaye (Leroy) Cates of Richwoods, Missouri, Barb Green of Scott City, Missouri, Faye Sandage of Wappapella Lake, Missouri, Frances Roxby of Peoria and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter; Carla Lee Taylor; one sister Edith Mims and one brother; Wayne Taylor.

Leroy worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for many years.

He enjoyed spending his time in the garden and was also a fisherman. He also enjoyed watching Westerns. Leroy was skilled mechanically and would try to fix anything he could.

A celebration of life for Leroy will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
