Bruce D. Whitmore

Born February 16, 1934 in Pekin to Earl B. and Anna E. (Diepenbrock) Whitmore, he married Charlene Joan (Beck) DeFoer on February 22, 1975. She died March 11, 2022 in Pekin. He also was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and two sisters.

Surviving are one daughter, Stacey Whitmore of Los Angeles, California; one son, David (Kathy) Whitmore of Baltimore, Maryland and four step-children, Diane (Jeff) Sego of Pekin, Charles (Kim) DeFoer of Lafayette, Indiana, Lisa (Rich Farden) DeFoer of Pekin and Joseph (Dawn) DeFoer of McFarland, Wisconsin.

Bruce worked for Keystone Steel & Wire Company for 31 years, retiring in 1983.

He was a member of Empire Lodge 126, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons in Pekin. Bruce, as a younger man, was known as a scratch golfer

Private inurnment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. There will be no visitation. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
