Born April 20, 1945 in Peoria to John C. and Viola Mae (Floyd) Fultz, she married John Robert Lussenhop on September 23, 1989 in Groveland.
Surviving are her husband, John; five daughters, Nikki (Brittany) Jackson of Apollo Beach, Florida, Tammy (Jeff) Woodard of Mackinaw, Traci (Tim) Puentes of Washington, Dr. Tamara (Blake) Olt of Dunlap, and Kimberly Lussenhop of Pekin; nine grandchildren, Rachel Hill of Granville, Blake (Christina) Venovich of Morton, Noah (Kelsey) Lindsay of Eureka, Parker (Makenna) Johnson of Washburn, Lydia (Jimmy) Bridgeman and Emma Puentes, both of Peoria Heights, Lucy Puentes of Washington, Zachary (Lorelei Volpe) Olt of Peoria Heights, and Brittany Olt of Pekin; ten great-grandchildren, Tobe, Hailey, Saraya, London, Lucas, Crew, Isabelle, Colter, Ava, and Ariya; and one brother, Carl (Viola) Fultz of Kapowsin, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Fultz, mother and stepfather, Viola and Bill Hendricks, one grandson, Joshua Olt, and one brother, Tom Fultz.
Bev worked as a bus driver for Peoria Public Schools District 150 for many years, retiring in 2000. Previously, she had worked at Hiram Walker in Peoria.
Bev enjoyed spending winters in Fort Myers and later Cape Coral, Florida, sewing, and in former years downhill skiing. She loved to go thrifting and come home with a treasure, especially a kitchen gadget. She will be remembered for being a caring and warm-hearted person who always made you feel welcome, and was not afraid to share her wisdom. She was a cheerleader and protector of her family and she always looked forward to having her grandkids come enjoy her swimming pool. She was a faithful and dear friend to many.
A gathering celebrating Bev’s life will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Larry’s Driftwood, 661 South Main Street in Creve Coeur.
Inurnment will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin at a later date.
